TROPICAL STORM FAY

FAY FINALLY REACHES THE COAST OF EAST-CENTRAL FLORIDA. Tropical Storm Warnings and Hurricane Watches are in effect for portions of Florida. Fay is currently located 15 miles SSE of Melbourne, Florida. The storm is moving towards the NNE at 7 mph and a turn towards the N is expected during the next 24 hours. On this track Fay will likely remain near, or over the Florida east-central or northeast coasts through Thursday. Maximum sustained winds remain near 50 mph and some strengthening is expected once the center moves back over water.
