Hurricane Elena - On The Gulf Coast  
 

DATE: August 30 - September 2, 1985
SUMMARY: With one of the most erratic tracks, Hurricane Elena menaced the east and central Gulf states before finally making landfall in Mississippi as a Category Three, with 120mph winds, on the morning of September 2, 1985 with an incredible eye passage at Biloxi.

Hurricane Gloria - In Eastern North Carolina  
 

DATE: September 26 - 27, 1985
SUMMARY: A large and powerful hurricane, Gloria impacted the Eastern Seaboard of the United States from North Carolina through New England. Watch as 110-120mph winds howl through Eastern North Carolina driving storm surge over the road.

Hurricane Kate - In Florida  
 

DATE: November 18-21, 1985
SUMMARY: A rare late-November hurricane, Kate surprised the state of Florida, brushing past the Florida Keys and recurving into the Florida panhandle. Watch as tropical storm conditions rake the Keys and then 100-115mph winds push ashore near Apalachicola, Florida.

Hurricane Bonnie - In High Island, Texas  
 

DATE: June 26, 1986
SUMMARY: A small early-season hurricane, Bonnie made landfall on the upper-Texas coast near Port Arthur as a Category One. Watch as Bonnie's heavy winds and rains lash at High Island, Texas during the early morning hours of June 26, 1986.

Hurricane Floyd - On The Florida Keys  
 

DATE: October 12, 1987
SUMMARY: Hurricane Floyd formed from a disturbance in the Northwest Caribbean, crossed Cuba and then moved Northeast across all of the Florida Keys. A disorganized system Floyd produced sustained winds of 60mph with gusts to near 80mph in several locations in the Keys.

Hurricane Gilbert - In The Yucatan Peninsula  
 

DATE: September 13 -14, 1988
SUMMARY: Until 2005, Hurricane Gilbert held the record for the most intense hurricane on record. Making landfall in the Yucatan, near Cozumel, as a Category 5 and then crossing the peninsula, exiting near Progreso. Watch as Gilbert pounds the northern coastline of the Yucatan.

Hurricane Hugo - In Luquillo, Puerto Rico  
 

DATE: September 17-18, 1989
SUMMARY: One of the most infamous Atlantic hurricanes, Hugo tore through the Northeast Caribbean before slamming into South Carolina. Watch one of the most dramatic hurricane videos ever recorded, as extreme winds of 140-160mph shred the town of Luquillo, Puerto Rico.
